Hello—I’m Joshua Barros, a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve
Radio Operator (MOS 0621) and Lance Corporal (E-3)
with an active DoW Secret security clearance. I support secure
communications operations using HF, VHF, UHF, and SATCOM systems, applying
disciplined troubleshooting, configuration control, and security
procedures in operational and garrison environments.
I completed my General Education (MassTransfer) coursework at
Massasoit Community College with a 3.76 GPA and will transfer to
Western Governors University in Summer2026 to pursue a
BS Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. In parallel, I develop
hands-on technical skills through a personal home lab, Linux environments,
networking fundamentals, Python scripting, and secure remote access tools.
I am seeking a cybersecurity, IT, or telecommunications
entry/mid-level role where I can apply my operational military
experience, continue building technical depth, and grow under experienced
mentorship in a security-focused environment.
